Southern Mallee Kart Club members information night next Tuesday
As works continue on upgrading the kart track in Hopetoun, the Southern Mallee Kart Club will be running an information night for prospective members, stewards and sponsors next week.
Experienced karters and administrators will be answering any questions members may have, as well as providing information on buying a kart, classes, how race days will operate, sponsorship information and progress updates on the track redevelopment among other topics.
The information night will be held at the Hopetoun Golf Club on Tuesday 28th June at 7pm.
Since reforming in January, the club’s committee has been working hard to set up a structure that will allow for the cheapest racing in the state for karters of any age. The interest hasn’t just been local either, with members already signed on from Wentworth to Geelong and everywhere in between so the club will look to regularly attract visitors to the region.
Information on getting involved can also be found at the clubs website – www.smkc.com.au.
The club will also be running regular working bees in coming weeks with the aim of getting karts on track by September. All prospective members are encouraged to get along when they are announced on the clubs website and facebook page.
If you can’t make it, be sure to get in touch with any questions you may have and we’ll do our best to get them answered. We’ll also look to provide a summary for anyone who can’t attend.
